Section hair evenly. Comb each section before winding. Roll the section of hair around the barrel. Hold in place for 8-12 seconds. For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair. To “set” the curl, do not comb or bush hair until it cools. Some experimenting is necessary when first using the curling iron, or when changing to a different hairstyle.
