Straightening Iron
Section dry hair evenly, and for the best results comb each section. Position the straightener on the hair as far up as you want the hair to be straightened, being careful not to let the straightener touch the scalp. Close the straightener with the hair between the plates and gently pull the straightener down to the end of the section of hair you are straightening. Repeat this process as necessary.
Let your hair cool before combing.
Curling Iron
Section hair evenly and comb each section before winding. Roll the section of hair around the barrel. Hold in place for 8-12 seconds. For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair. To “set” the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools. Some experimenting is necessary when first using the curling iron or when changing to a different hairstyle.
